IDTA standard teaching
All classes follow International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) standards, ensuring high-quality and structured learning.
Ages 3 and upwards
We offer dance classes for children aged 3+, with sessions suitable for all experience levels.
Term time classes
All classes take place during school term times, making it easy to fit around family schedules.
Experienced teacher
Classes are led by Heather, an IDTA qualified, DBS checked teacher dedicated to helping children learn and grow.
Range of dance styles
From street dance and freestyle to rock ‘n’ roll, there’s something for every child to enjoy.
More than just classes
We support children in working towards IDTA amateur exams and often get invited to perform at local events.

Freestyle team (invite only)
Students who show strong potential may be invited to join our dance team.

Ballroom, Latin and Salsa
Develop technique and confidence across Ballroom, Latin and Salsa styles.

A fast-paced and fun class covering street, freestyle and rock ‘n’ roll.

A fun, welcoming class designed to introduce children to a range of dance styles.

Build confidence and develop skills across a range of dance styles including freestyle, street and ballroom.

A dynamic class focused on building skills, confidence and performance across a range of styles.

About me
I'm Heather
I started Stars Dance Academy in 2015 to create a fun, friendly environment where children can build confidence, make new friends and develop a love for dance. Having danced since the age of three, I’m a fully qualified IDTA teacher qualified in Ballroom, Latin, Freestyle, Street Dance, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Salsa, Argentine Tango and Dance Exercise.
